PSC players, Coaches, and Families,
Our hope is that this message finds each and every one of you doing well during these times. Patriot Soccer Club and its Board of Directors have been monitoring the current conditions of the COVID-19 virus both on the national, regional and state levels since the early stages of its development here in the U.S. At this time Soccer Maine continues to do the same, with plans as of now to start Pine Tree League the first weekend in May.
Over the weekend, the Executive Committee once again discussed our options for the spring season as has come to the conclusion that we will NOT participate in Soccer Maine's Pine Tree League this spring. We as a group understand that this is not only a difficult decision for the club, but for those who need some sense of activity back in their lives. We will remain diligent in our monitoring of this virus and will continue to make our players, coaches and families our number one priority in regards to both health and safety as well as financially during these times. We will continue to use information provided by the Maine CDC, physicians and health networks in which we are embedded when it comes to our decisions moving forward. Our plan at this time is to host our own league with our registered players and coaches when deemed safe to do so. This will work out into small-sided games, and we will pay officials accordingly to allow them to continue to train and get the necessary hours to advance moving into our fall season.
Financially or in terms of registration fees we as a board will be refunding ALL families the full registration fee at this time. We do ask that you give us the next 14 days in order to process this as it is a complex process in which we want to complete correctly and accurately.
We thank you all for registering with PSC for the Spring and ask that you stay tuned for future announcements, and of course please be sure to follow us on Social Media as we work to come up with creative ideas to keep kids interested in the game while connecting to their teammates in the coming weeks.
